4 Walls-Meko Sky ft. Nala Jay
Meko Sky is back and has a ton to talk about! Nala Jay has rediscovered her love for music and is fueled with passion and excitement! We got ourselves two starving artists here!
The two starving artists came together on an amazing track called 4 Walls, which was released earlier this year. This track has elements of poetry and soul where each lyric speaks from the heart and mind of two frustrated artists who want to see change within the world. With all of the anxiety that occurred during the summer of 2020 until spring of 2021, Meko Sky and Nala Jay shared 4 walls as a track with the intent to show everyone that you, the listeners, was and are not alone. Both artists have found a way to truly express that. What better way than do it than through music and visuals!
Last Saturday, the two artists decided that it was time to release the visual for 4 Walls. When I first heard about the making of the video, I thought this would be shot very similar to Bad Bunny, Booker T video; however, Kay Jones proved me wrong. Nala Jay playing the therapist as Meko Sky talks about the many thoughts that was going on in his head was the definition of perfect execution and direction for a visual. I couldn’t have thought of a better idea myself. You see a black man going to therapy talking about his problems. This video has lead me to ask, “Why aren’t we discussing about therapy and mental health in our community?” Overall, it’s just a great track and the visuals just elevate it 10x.
4 Walls is the first single off Meko’s project, 665, which is scheduled to be release in November. Meko Sky and Nala Jay are expected to release their collaboration project in November. They released their single, The One, about two weeks. Let’s make November a month dedicated to the two individuals for applying pressure this upcoming 4th quarter. Be Ready!
